Thirty years ago, when Emerald Isle Ltd first ventured into the world of golf course turf management, we were one of only two companies in the marketplace pioneering natural organic materials. At that time, the enormous benefits of organics generally, and seaweed specifically, were not widely known. Our first product was a liquefied seaweed extract that had numerous benefits, from increased germination to enhanced root growth and improved stress tolerance. We called it PanaSeá because it seemed to address so many of the problems golf course superintendents face. PanaSeá Plus is still one of our leading products. And at last count, about 28 other companies in the turf growth business now use seaweed extract in their product formulations. However, only one of them -- Emerald Isle Ltd.-- is a seaplant harvester, processor and formulator. No one knows more about the benefits of seaplant-based products, or how to formulate those products for the best results, than we do.

From the outset, we knew that organics were more than just an environmental story. Our product line grew more sophisticated as we learned to blend other key constituents. CPR and the SeaQuential products were breakthrough foliars for better color and density along with healthier, more resilient turf. Our granular fertilizers provide soil conditioning benefits along with superior growth. And Emerald Isle's NutriRational foliar nutrition line is industry standard for True Foliar fertilization.

Our philosophy still remains the same: We put science on your side. We partner with our customers to provide environmentally safe, scientifically proven, high-performance products for turf and plant growth. To that end, we have worked with over 75 scientists in over 25 universities and independent laboratories. Our products are used throughout North America, the British Isles, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.  

Just as the demand for tournament turf conditions continues to grow, so does the requirement for products that are beneficial to the environment. The Emerald Isle products are manufactured at Ocean Organics, our seaweed processing and manufacturing facility in Waldoboro, Maine.
