Helmsman

Ocean Organics^® knows that golf course superintendents have always been thoughtful about the water they use on their playing surfaces and the impact that it has on play. To help superintendents better manage moisture on their property and specifically in areas that have more turf, fairways and rough, Ocean Organics created an innovative solution; Helmsman^®.

Helmsman is a soil surfactant, which is an EO/PO class chemistry designed for fine textured soils. It is a product that is economical for golf course fairways, roughs, and athletic fields that are not sand capped or predominantly composed of “sandy” soils. This “penetrant” was formulated to break surface tension so that both applied water and rainfall quickly penetrate the mat layer directly into the soils. By enabling water to infiltrate where it lands will eliminate runoff and save upwards of 30%-40% of applied water on irrigated properties.

Helmsman is a 100% active formulation consisting of a surfactant, citric acid (frees up and makes nutrients in the soil more plant available), and our proprietary seaweed extract which maximizes the plant’s health, hardiness, performance, stress tolerance, and quality.
